Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan
Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan (CAAB); () is a non-profit government adventure sports association in Balochistan, Pakistan. It consists of young boys and girls dedicated to the promotion of mountain adventure, sports climbing and associated sports. Its goals are to protect the new generation from dangerous drug abuse, by providing them with healthy sporting opportunities, organizing training camps, and national and provincial level event expeditions. 95% of all the players receiving training from CAAB are students of schools and colleges in Balochistan. The activities of the CAAB are financed by self-help, donations, and subscriptions from members of BSCB and PCSB, Quetta.
==History==
The 'Chiltan Adventurers Association Balochistan' was formed on 14 August 1948, and officially established in 1984 by Hayatullah Khan Durrani, Ramazan Ali, Malik Abdul Rahim Baabai, Agha Faisal Shah, Abdul Ghafar Durrani and Aziz-Ur-Rehman Khilji. It is the only organization in Balochistan promoting camping, hiking, rock and snow climbing, mountaineering and caving adventure sports. It provides facilities to male and female youth for mountain adventure sports, develops a spirit of teamwork for the protection of the UN heritage "Juniper Forests" in Balochistan, keeps youngsters away from drug abuse, and upholds the motto of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah, which is 'Unity, Faith and Discipline'
The association is affiliated, at the international level, with the representative of the British C. R. Association 'Orpheus Caving Club' (UK),〔(OCC New Letter )〕 UIS 〔[http://www.uis-speleo.org/people/delegate.html [Delegates for UIS Countries]〕 (USA), Speleo Club Du liban (Lebanon) SCDL and at the national level with Alpine Club of Pakistan , Pakistan Cave Research & Caving Federation, Pakistan Sports Climbing Federation, Adventures Foundation Pakistan and at the provincial level with the Balochistan Olympic Association. It is recognized by the BSCB and registered with the SWD, the Government of Balochistan, (DSW202) according to its own constitution as non-profit earning organization, as defined in section 51-D (1) of the income tax ordinance, 1979, and under the provisions of the United Nations NGO’s law.
